EXLA Automotive Pressed Powder Inductor from Eaton
1:06
Eaton EXLA automotive-grade next-generation pressed powder inductors offer a high current carrying capacity and exceptional thermal stability, enabling smaller, lighter, and more efficient designs for LED lights, ADAS, battery management systems, control modules, and more. EXLA inductors use the latest high efficiency magnetic materials and advanced manufacturing processes that enable up to 50 percent lower DCR and 30 percent higher current ratings in the same package size. Inductors are offered from 0.185 to 22 microhenries in 4 to 10 millimeter packages with current ratings up to 50 amps. The pressed powder construction provides a soft saturation characteristic, magnetic shielding for low EMI, and is extremely stable over the operating temperature range of negative 55 to positive 155 degrees Celsius. The EXLA inductors use bottom exit SMT terminals to minimize PCB area while allowing for larger terminals that provide improved thermal and mechanical performance.
